Friday Night Jive! is Swingland's regular swing and jive dance party at The Firestation in Windsor - swing out to some great music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s on selected Friday nights! All jive/swing styles and non-dancers welcome! Includes FREE taster swing dance class.

Friday Night Jive!
At our Friday night dance party in Windsor you can expect great music and a fun and friendly atmosphere.
All styles of swing/jive dancing are welcome, as are non-dancers and complete beginners - come along, enjoy the music and see what swing is all about! Come with friends, a partner or on your own - everyone is welcome and you'll soon feel at home!
There is no need to book - just turn up.

Grab a drink from the bar and join us in the auditorium.
If you're new to swing dancing this is an opportunity to learn a few simple, fun steps to try out later on. You don't need a partner and there is no need to book - just turn up. The class is aimed at absolute beginners, but all welcome!
Jive, swing, Lindy hop and jitterbug to the very best swingin' tunes from the past to the present (Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller through to Lavay Smith, Ray Gelato and Royal Crown Revue) from top swing DJs!

How to get to Friday Night Jive!
The Firestation Centre for Arts and Culture is housed in the historic Old Court - Windsor’s old Firestation, Magistrates Court & Police Station. Located on the corner of St Leonards Road & St Marks Road, look for the big red fire doors and red railings.
Upstairs is a friendly, fully licensed bar/café - open throughout the evening.
Friday Night Jive! takes place upstairs in the auditorium - the entrance to the auditorium is to the left of the reception desk near the front door/lobby. Please pay at the reception desk and hand your receipt to the DJ.

The Firestation Centre for Arts and Culture is at The Old Court, St Leonards Road (corner of St Marks Road), Windsor, Berkshire SL4 3BL.
By train - The Firestation is a fifteen minute walk from Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (mainline to Waterloo) or ten minutes from Windsor Central Station (shuttle to Slough with mainline to Paddington, Maidenhead and Oxford).
By bus - The Firestation is well served by buses to and from Windsor, Slough, Bracknell and the surrounding area. Routes 71, 191, 200, 701 & 702 either go right by us or very near by. Click here for Firstgroup bus route details and a neat interactive route map.
By car - Windsor and The Firestation are within easy reach of the M4 (Jct 6) and M40 (Jct 2). There is free parking in local streets outside the venue (please check signs as some bays are charged until 8pm, although the charge is very reasonable).
