On live band nights the dance class runs as usual and the band provides much of the music for the dancing afterwards.

The connection between live music and swing dancing is steeped in history.

Today's swing DJ's have access to an unenviable catalogue of recordings from almost a century of musical greats, yet there is an extra "something" to be found in good live music!

So every so often we have a live band at The Swing Cellar.

We only book bands that really swing - comprised of some of the very best of today's musicians, many of them regulars in West End shows, all highly regarded in the world of jazz and swing.
