Friday Night Swing is Swingland's occasional swing and jive dance party at The Old Court Artspace in Windsor, Berkshire - swing out to some great music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s on selected Friday nights! All Lindy hop/swing/jive styles - and non-dancers - welcome.

About Friday Night Swing

At our Friday night dance party in Windsor you can expect great music and a fun and friendly atmosphere.

All styles of swing/jive dancing are welcome, as are non-dancers and complete beginners - come along, enjoy the music and see what swing is all about! Come with friends, a partner or on your own - everyone is welcome and you'll soon feel at home!

There is no need to book - just turn up.

  • 8pm Doors open

    Grab a drink from the bar and join us in the auditorium.

  • 8.15pm Fun beginners swing dance class

    No partner or previous experience required!

  • 9pm-midnight Music and dancing

    Lindy hop, swing, jitterbug and jive to the very best swingin' tunes from the past to the present from top swing DJs!

Friday Night Swing is generally a quarterly event, usually towards the end of each season - please see Dates.

There is no specific dress code, but an effort is much appreciated as it's a Friday night - see What to wear.

Admission to Friday Night Swing

Doors are open from 8pm.

There is no need to book - just turn up.

    Includes optional class and dancing.

Cash or debit/credit card - please pay on the door.

Last admission is 9.30pm.

How to get to Friday Night Swing

The Old Court Artspace [formerly known as "The Firestation"] is a lovely venue in the heart of Windsor. A combined pub and Arts Centre with very friendly and laid-back atmosphere and fully licensed bar, it is located on the corner of St Leonards Road & St Marks Road. We are on the ground floor in the stunning "Auditorium" with its period features, wooden dance floor and great sound and lighting.

By train - The Old Court is a ten minute walk from Windsor Central Station (shuttle to Slough with mainline to Paddington, Maidenhead and Oxford) or fifteen minutes from Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (mainline to Waterloo).

By bus - The Old Court is well served by buses to and from Windsor, Slough, Bracknell and the surrounding area. Routes 71, 191, 200, 701 & 702 either go right by us or very near by. Click here for Firstgroup bus route details and a neat interactive route map.

By car - Windsor and hence The Old Court are within easy reach of the M4 (Jct 6) and M40 (Jct 2). There is free parking in local streets outside the venue (please check signs as some bays are charged until 8pm, although the charge is very reasonable).
