Learn to Lindy hop - classes every Wednesday!
Hoppin' is Swingland's new weekly class and social in Isleworth, TW7 - at WERFA Pavilion - with a class for beginners and improvers, as well as time for practice.
In the class you'll learn all the basics of Lindy hop - the original swing dance!
You don't need any previous dance experience, and you can start any week. Come on your own, with a partner (but you don't need one), or with friends.
The classes are taught by Martin and Ruth Ellis. Martin founded Swingland back in 1998, and lives locally to WERFA with Ruth and family.
Sorry, no young children or pets.

Hoppin' runs on Wednesday evenings
Starting out - beginners class - 7pm
For those new to swing dancing these drop-in classes are aimed to make those first steps as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. Covering all the basic steps and rhythms of Lindy hop - different material is taught each week and the classes are designed so that you can join any time and you can progress without needing to be there every week. No previous experience required. Fun, social and informative!
Practice time/social - until 8.15pm
After the class there is time to practise what you've learnt.

NO Hoppin' @ WERFA
Hoppin' is closed this week for the Christmas/New Year break.
Classes start and finish promptly at the advertised times. If you're running a bit late, please do join in and do your best to catch up - but we can't run past the finish time.
How to get to Hoppin'
WERFA Pavilion, Isleworth
WERFA is located in the centre of The Woodlands Estate, London TW7 (see map below).
WERFA (The Woodlands Estate Resident Freeholders Association) is a community association in the heart of Isleworth - and is a registered charity. WERFA hosts many regular events open to both members and non-members - films, quiz nights, live music, and more. Our workshops are held in the main hall.
By tube - Piccadilly Line to Hounslow East, 15-20 minutes walk.
By rail - Isleworth Station, 10-15 minutes walk.
By bus - any bus to Isleworth Station, 10-15 minutes walk, or to Isleworth Memorial, 15-20 minutes walk - the closest stop to the venue is Woodlands Road, on St. John's Road near the Woodlands Tavern, which is served by the H37 and 117 buses.

By car - There is a small car park, first-come, first-served, adjacent to the hall - there is also free parking in the local roads around the venue - please be respectful of residents and take care not to block driveways etc.
