Swingland's Windsor classes take place on Wednesday evenings, downstairs at The Old Court Arts Centre. Swing dance (Lindy hop) classes for absolute beginners and up.

About Swingland Windsor

In our Windsor classes you may join in the partner rotation, or stick with one partner if you prefer. Unless otherwise stated, advance booking is optional and you may just turn up and pay in the class. Come alone, with a partner or a friend, or in a group (sorry, no children or pets).

The classes are taught by Swingland founder Martin Ellis.

The Old Court

The Old Court Artspace is a vibrant Arts Centre which has been extensively renovated over the last few years. The bar on the ground floor is open for drinks and snacks (crisps etc.) throughout the evening.

Starting out - beginners classes at Swingland Windsor

For those new to swing dancing the evening starts at 6.45pm with drop-in classes aimed to make those first steps as straightforward and enjoyable as possible.

Intermediates classes at Swingland Windsor

For those familiar with Lindy hop fundamentals these classes are fun, social and informative - with enough content to challenge the more experienced dancer too! The class runs for 45 minutes from 8.15pm and is followed by 30 minutes of practice time.

How to get to Swingland Windsor

The Old Court Artspace (formerly known as "The Firestation") is a lovely venue in the heart of Windsor. A combined pub and Arts Centre with very friendly and laid-back atmosphere and fully licensed bar, it is located on the corner of St Leonards Road & St Marks Road. We are in the dance studio downstairs.

By train - The Old Court is a ten minute walk from Windsor Central Station (shuttle to Slough with mainline to Paddington, Maidenhead and Oxford) or fifteen minutes from Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (mainline to Waterloo).

By bus - The Old Court is well served by buses to and from Windsor, Slough, Bracknell and the surrounding area. Routes 71, 191, 200, 701 & 702 either go right by us or very near by. Click here for Firstgroup bus route details and a neat interactive route map.

By car - Windsor and hence The Old Court are within easy reach of the M4 (Jct 6) and M40 (Jct 2). There is free parking in local streets outside the venue (please check signs as some bays are charged until 8pm, although the charge is very reasonable).
