Swingland's Windsor classes take place on Wednesday evenings, downstairs at The Old Court Arts Centre. Swing dance (Lindy hop) classes for absolute beginners and up.

Learn to Swing & Jive - classes every Wednesday!
Swingland has been teaching in Windsor at The Old Court (formerly The Firestation) for around 10 years now.
We teach Lindy hop which is the original form of swing or "jive" dancing.
In our beginners classes you may join in the partner rotation, or stick with one partner if you prefer. Advance booking is completely optional - you may just turn up and pay in the class if preferred. Come alone, with a partner or a friend, or in a group (sorry, no children or pets).
The classes are taught by Swingland founder Martin Ellis, with help from Lauren Tryggvason.

Swingland Windsor runs on Wednesday evenings
Starting out - beginners class - 8pm-9pm
For those new to swing dancing these drop-in classes are aimed to make those first steps as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. Covering all the basic steps and rhythms of Lindy hop - different material is taught each week and the classes are designed so that you can join any time and you can progress without needing to be there every week. No previous experience required. Fun, social and informative! Rotate partners (no partner needed) or stay with fixed partner - your choice.
Improvers/intermediates class - 6.45pm-7.45pm (before the Beginners class)
These classes are aimed at those with knowledge of the steps and rhythms taught in the beginners classes. Partners all rotate in improvers/intermediates.
Practice time
Each class runs for an hour, and there is 15mins practice time/social in between.

The Old Court
The Old Court Artspace (formerly known as "The Firestation") is a lovely venue in the heart of Windsor. A combined pub and Arts Centre with very friendly and laid-back atmosphere and fully licensed bar, it is located on the corner of St Leonards Road & St Marks Road. We are in the dance studio downstairs.

By train - The Old Court is a ten minute walk from Windsor Central Station (shuttle to Slough with mainline to Paddington, Maidenhead and Oxford) or fifteen minutes from Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (mainline to Waterloo).
By bus - The Old Court is well served by buses to and from Windsor, Slough, Bracknell and the surrounding area. Routes 71, 191, 200, 701 & 702 either go right by us or very near by. Click here for Firstgroup bus route details and a neat interactive route map.
By car - Windsor and hence The Old Court are within easy reach of the M4 (Jct 6) and M40 (Jct 2). There is free parking in local streets outside the venue (please check signs as some bays are charged until 8pm, although the charge is very reasonable).

The Old Court Artspace is a vibrant Arts Centre which has been extensively renovated over the last few years. The bar on the ground floor is open for drinks and snacks (crisps etc.) throughout the evening.
